An animated music video for Wellington band Tidal Rave’s song Surf’s Down. Created using EbSynth, it explores fair use by transforming media from popular culture into new animations. It was produced by merging hand drawing keyframes with the original video, with additional animation and effects. This work investigates the unavoidable influence of remix culture in creating digital work and the efficiency inherent within this type of production.
