As the editor for Function, it was important that I brought all my knowledge to the table to produce my best possible edit. The sci-fi genre of the film grasped my interest as it is a genre I have always wanted to work on. The tone and premise of the film dives deep into sci-fi theories which created opportunities for thrilling and intense cuts within sections of the film.
Function is a sci-fi drama short film about a scientist named Adrian who values his work over his family. When he finds himself in a parallel world where his family is dead, he must find a way back home or live in a world where his loved ones are gone. The film explores betrayal and the consequences of choosing your work over the ones you love.
