Veda Parshotam

“Living in Harmony” uses principles from Patanjali’s Yoga Sutras to guide design decisions. I explore complex patternmaking techniques to achieve unexpected drapes. This acts as an expression of aparigraha (non-attachment). These garments are brightly coloured and use hand-painting techniques, illustrating the energy that has gone into the making. My aim for this project is to address the issue of over-consumption, through meaningful design.
