How much artwork, present and past, focuses on the self? Any artwork, in fact, could be said to be a self portrait, and in my final year I am exploring this very genre. My work is focused on the one subject that I find immeasurable, unpredictable and mecurial: my identity. Through the medium of self-portrait photography I am exploring the idea of the alter-ego; the consequences of splitting a part of yourself off and treating it as a separate entity.
