Stephanie Arrowsmith

I am interested in apparitions, and endlessly echoing visual symbols. I imagine the tired spectres and motifs in my paintings as artefacts of the present moment, and beams of strange light in the melancholic fog of doom that clouds it.

I use surfaces I find and construct to make sculptural paintings, and play with light and material to give the imagery a holographic presence.
