Drawn from a personal history with illness and its ongoing repercussions, my work connects how my body’s internal environments have been documented through the medical lens, inflicting on the reality of external environments beyond my body. A reflection of the self, beyond the perception of appearance.
For Exposure, I am exhibiting an installation that utilises a fusion of ceramic sculpture and projected painting to highlight how gender influences treatment, and the invasiveness of particular medical procedures.
