‘It’s a long road...’ is a moving image that documents an investigation into one individual’s story of addiction and their road to recovery. The story centres around one man who is from the Māori community of Taranaki. Addiction is a huge social issue within Aotearoa communities especially within the Māori communities. This is due to multiple overlapping issues; bad housing, Māori health and issues with addiction.
