L’Opera Buffa engages in a comedic design strategy to activate user relationships to the site and themselves within Opera House Lane. L’Opera Buffa performs unexpected silly opera to passing by pedestrians through a series of Animatronic Characterized Speakers. Focusing on Humour theory and the benefits of Laughter/Shared Laughter within the site, L’Opera Buffa aims to use humor as a new tool of spatial intervention that is more personal, caring, and funny.
