New Zealand’s strong wool market has been in serious decline since the 1960s. The introduction and rise in sales of synthetic fibres has meant that many sheep farmers have had to stockpile or burn their wool as there is no demand for it. The fact that wool is such an under utilised fibre in Aotearoa, inspired me to create an interior textile print collection celebrating its versatility and potential for expansion in the textile market.
