Function is a sci-fi drama that embarks on an emotional journey exploring the importance of family. We had a clear vision of wanting our audience to question their own priorities in life as if it were their last day on earth. I've always been interested in using the sci-fi genre as a way to give the audience a deeper understanding of themselves.
Function is a sci-fi drama short film about a scientist named Adrian who values his work over his family. When he finds himself in a parallel world where his family is dead, he must find a way back home or live in a world where his loved ones are gone. The film explores betrayal and the consequences of choosing your work over the ones you love.
